Description
Who is Beast?
A founding member of the X-Men, the talented Dr. Henry “Hank” McCoy has fought for peaceful coexistence between mutants and humans for most of his life. Born with a more human appearance but with a physique, strength, and muscular structure much like that of a simian, he began using the codename The Beast. Considered one of the eight smartest people in the world, he holds six PhDs, including one in biophysics, becoming a world-renowned biochemist. While working at the Brand Corporation, Hank isolated the hormonal extract that triggered mutations and drank a serum he created. The serum acted as a catalyst to activate latent mutations, and McCoy underwent new changes to his mutation, gaining grey and later blue fur covering his skin, fangs, and claws, enhanced superhuman strength and agility, while maintaining his brilliant mind. After spending some years as a member of the Avengers, he joined the Defenders and later reunited with his former teammates to form the X-Factor, but Hank always found himself returning to the X-Men. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1963, despite his ongoing battle with the demons of loneliness and rejection, he was a witty and sharp prankster, and beyond his brutal exterior, McCoy is the most learned and eloquent of the X-Men.
Exploring the Beast statue:
Genius and good-humored, the biochemist mutant hero with blue fur, sharp claws, and long fangs appears in his best form just like in the 90s. Dedicating his physical gifts, skills, and brilliant mind to create a better world for humans and mutants to coexist peacefully, he joined Professor Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters at a young age as one of its first students and a founding member of the X-Men when he was still more physically human. However, years later, seeking to soften details of his appearance, he evolved his mutation, growing grey fur all over his body, gaining elven ears, blue fur, elongated canines, claws, heightened senses, and an accelerated healing factor, in addition to superhuman strength, agility, stamina, and speed.
